Fitness Consumer Goods

In bodybuilding, there are a lot of goods and services that are basically required for progression and there are many more goods and services that just aren't needed and are a waste of your time and money. In fact, there are really only a few goods and even fewer services that you need to consume in order to get into great shape. We're going to be going over some of these goods and services in today's article.

Services

On the services end of it, you really only need a personal trainer if you are completely new to the gym and don't know what you're doing. The only bad thing with personal trainers is that they can be very expensive and fail to get you results. This is ultimately why you must do your due diligence in researching these personal trainers. Then again, no one person knows your body and your goals like you do. If you have any experience in the gym whatsoever, I don't believe this is needed. Even though they don't need to train you, they can perform other services like writing your workout plan or telling you what to eat. Whatever the case may be, make sure they are credible and can give you results.

Goods

Next comes the supplements. This is by far the biggest thing that newbies pay attention to. They believe that if they take a whole bunch of supplements, they will end up looking like the person on the label. This is what the fitness industry wants you to believe. This is why this market is a multi-billion dollar market. They target newbies that don't have much knowledge to buy their product. In my mind, this is really messed up. There are only about three to five supplements that I would recommend for the beginning bodybuilder. These include whey protein, casein protein, pre-workout, creatine, and caffeine. Branched-chain amino acids are optional but not needed as most whey proteins include them. In the beginning, you should only focus on these supplements and find out how to use them correctly. This will save you a lot of time and money.

The next section of goods is the most important of all: food! Your diet is by far the most important thing when it comes to healthy living. If you are not hitting your macros with the right kinds of foods, you are not going to grow. You should be focusing on high-quality foods like lean meats, green leafy vegetables, nuts, fish, and rice. All of these foods are natural and beneficial to your body. The meats add protein which is essential for muscle growth. The vegetables and nuts will give your body a lot of micronutrients as well. I'd recommend purchasing a scale to track your weight every morning. This will show you if your diet is working or if you need to consume more.
